The Lithuanian President and Lithuanian citizens showed respect to our soldiers who tragically died during a training exercise in their country.
The send-off back home was moving. In contrast, our president golfed and gorged himself with Saudi’s at Mara-a- Lago instead of receiving the bodies of our dead servicemen. What is wrong with any vet who doesn’t feel disgust at Trump’s indifference towards dead soldiers?
Pete Buttegieg, a proud gay American and veteran of the Afghanistan War is a real man worthy of our respect and thanks. In contrast, Donald Trump is a five time, bone spur draft dodger who is trying to ban gender diverse people from serving in the armed forces. He referred to dead American soldiers buried at a cemetery in France as
“suckers and losers” and said when referring to Senator John McCain’s capture in Viet Nam,
“I prefer people who don’t get captured.” He is currently cutting federal programs for veterans and has fired over 10,000 federal employees at Veteran Administrations around the country. So far, all vets seem to require of him is to say
“I love the military” and they believe him while he exhibits actions to the contrary. Pete is the great man of character and bravery that Trump will never be.
“Does @TuckerCarlson want to walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether or not I love America?” Trump and his cruel loyalists show no compassion for the risks and suffering that members of the military endure. He especially shows little respect for women who have served. MAYBE IT’S THAT HIS EGO CANNOT HANDLE A WOMAN BEING BRAVER AND MORE GENUINELY PATRIOTIC THAN HE IS.
