Kamala campaigned her heart out for us and our democracy. She deserves the opportunity to be president and do some of what she planned to do to protect democracy if she had won. Additionally, it would be an unprecedented political move and would drive Trump and the Republicans crazy. DEMOCRATS PLAY IT OVERLY CAUTIOUS AND ETHICAL AND OFTEN GET BEATEN BECAUSE OF IT. PRESIDENT BIDEN HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO OUT BOLD AND MAKE WHATEVER MOVES HE CAN TO OFFSET THE BLOWS TO DEMOCRACY THAT TRUMP WILL INFLICT ON OUR COUNTRY.
Maybe she can address the Supreme Court corruption, or force the DOJ to influence Trump’s trials, or influence the trials for the crooks Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows and Steve Bannon, or write executive orders regarding abortion or immigration. THE POINT IS THAT DEMOCRATS SHOULD ACT WITH COURAGE AND CONVICTION, CARE LITTLE ABOUT WHAT REPUBLICANS SAY ABOUT THEM, AND CLAIM THE BROAD IMMUNITY GIVEN TO THE PRESIDENCY BY THE SUPREME COURT, EVEN IF IT’S ONLY FOR TWO MONTHS.
Biden stayed in the race too long and despite Kamala being a qualified, charismatic candidate, that made it impossible for her to win. Another mistake he made that kept Trump a viable prospect to regain the presidency was choosing Merritt Garland to be attorney general. Garland’s hands-off approach to charging Trump for his part in the Jan. 6th insurrection delayed his trials and allowed him to run for office again. That’s why we are where we are.
