Biden called out the hypocrisy of congressmen who voted against his infrastructure legislation and yet are taking credit for it in their cities where America’s rebuilding is underway. Without naming their MAGA Dobbs ruling, Biden respectively confronted the Supreme Court Justices in the audience on how the power of women will prevail despite their striking down Rowe v Wade. He told Speaker Mike Johnson to put his immigration bill on the floor for a vote because Congress had the votes to pass it. This request exposed the political hypocrisy being demonstrated by the Republican party in it’s refusal to pass the bill at the request of their heavily indicted, autocratic candidate Donald Trump. Additionally, he diminished the attempt to discredit him by the embarrassment to our country, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green.
Trump uses the communication mechanisms of repetition, over-generalization, and gaslighting to compensate for his cognitive decline or lack of intelligence. Why have his supporters not become terminally bored or suspicious of his obvious mental strangeness is a social mystery. How can Trump supporters be seen as intelligent or patriotic if they continue to be fooled by his sometimes clownish and often offensive behavior, believe his easily proven lies, and put trust in a person proven to defraud individuals and institutions? Never in our history has the office of the presidency been so compromised by a person who:
- Name-calls like a “mean girl”.
- Incited an armed mob to storm the Capitol and stop the peaceful transfer of presidential power.
- Pathologically lies
- Admires and befriends dictators
- Knows little about how a democratic government works
- Obstructed justice
- Used the presidency to financially enrich himself and his family
- Stole classified documents, kept them unsecured at his home, and showed them to foreign officials
- Faces four federal indictments and 91 charges by federal and state governments, civil charges by members of law enforcement and Congress, private citizens, and contractors and attorneys he refused to pay them for their services.
- Appointed unqualified, conspiracy theorists to high positions in the government.
- Acts guilty of all charges by aggressively attempting to delay his trials instead of rushing to prove his innocencereatens to get rid if the Constitution
- Admits he will use the Dept. of Justice to seek revenge on all who opposed him
