Donald Trump Got Arrested This Week. He Is Charged With 34 Felony Counts Of Falsifying Business Records To Cover Up Payments To Porn Star Stormy Daniels About Their Affair. During His Arraignment, Trump Looked Angry As He Sat Neutered To Silence While The Judge Read The Charges. Judge Juan Merchan Made It Clear To The Bully Defendent That His Behavior Was Under The Scrutiny Of The Court And Warned Him To Not Engage In Statements That Could Encourage Unrest Or Violence. Trump Defied The Judges Orders That Night In A Crazed Speech At Mar-a-Lago.
The tainting of Trump’s already scandalous, failed presidency was seen around the world on Tuesday in a New York courtroom. He became the first former US president to be indicted for federal crimes. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. Republican members of Congress have come to his defense, minimizing the charges as ” clerical errors”. What Trump did is not only not trivial, it is anti-democratic. By covering up the sexual allegations made by Stormy Daniels, Trump voters were robbed of information that could have caused them not to vote for him. The hush money he paid Daniels was recorded as legal fees and many of those checks to Stormy were written from the Oval Office while he was president. What would Senator Lindsey Graham be saying if Joe Biden had given hush money to a porn actress and lied about it?After Ttump was arraigned, Senator Lindsey Graham gave his most embarrassing ass-kissing rant to date in support of Trump. An epidemic of cringing erupted around the country as Lindsey cried, screamed and begged Trump supporters to send him money. Republicans and democrats wonder what dirt Trump has on Graham who once called Trump a xenophobe and a “race baiting bigot.” He has gone from praising Joe Biden “as good a man as God ever created” to calling him a radical who is destroying the country. What will Graham’s reaction be if Special Counsel Jack Smith recommends that Trump be indicted for stealing classified documents or inciting the Jan. 6th insurrection? At this point, it seems Graham is terminally loyal to Trump and under the spell of the cult community of MAGA.
Republicans who have declared they are running for president in 2024 are defending Trump in fear of being attacked by him if they don’t. There is only one explanation for the loyalty that Republicans show Trump; this is a cult! Every generation has an infamous cult leader who captures the minds of needy searchers for someone they believe loves them and will transform their lives to greatness. Cult leaders and many of their followers don’t have good endings.
His reactions are not normal. His rage, dishonesty, vengence and promotion of violence indicates a dangerous form of narcissism and anti-social personality disorder. Narcissists project self-esteem, strength and confidence to hide their insecurities and shame. The same day Trump was warned by the judge not to engage in angry rhetoric that could incite violence, he gave a speech at Mara-a-Lago attacking District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Judge Merchan and their families. He called Bragg a “criminal”, called the judge and his wife “Trump- hating” and declared they should be prosecuted. His defiance exposes a lack of impulse control and overall unstable management of anger, stress and insecurity. Men who see Trump as masculine are blind to the reality that men who have high self-esteem don’t need to yell, threaten, name-call, and bully to feel masculine. . Trump is a textbook case of the faux-masculine man well past his prime.
It is time for the justice system and silent politicians to stop tip-toeing around Trump’s embarrassingly transparent tantrums rooted in insecurity and narcissistic rage. He looks and sounds ridiculous and unhinged to anyone who isn’t a member of the MAGA cult. More indictments seem probable, and the era of Trump being a threat to democracy is almost over. Men like the two young black members of the Tennessee House of Representatives who were un-democratically expelled from their seats this week are the future. Trump and his allies are relics from the past. The judiciary is saving America.
