A Defamation Case Filing Against Fox News By Dominion Voting Machines Revealed That Fox Entertainment Journalists And Executives Knew Trump Was Lying About Fraud In The 2020 Election And Continued To Peddle It On The Air. Texts And Emails Between Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram And Tucker Carlson Revealed They Viewed Rudy Guiliani and Sidney Powell “As Liars, Nutcases, Lunatics.” However, They Put Them On Air Anyway To Spread Trump’s Lies. Ratings And The Price Of Fox’s Stock Mattered More To Them Than Democracy. They Spread The Fraud Lies To Keep Their Viewers Watching.

Personal texts and emails reveal that these Fox performers lied about election fraud to their viewers. Fox viewers must now face the truth that their journalistic heroes see them as stupid people who believe anything they are told. Corrupt election deniers like Rudy Guiliani and Sidney Powell continued to appear on Fox and assert election lies. There is now evidence Hannity, Powell, and Ingram didn’t’t believe any of these false assertions. The incriminating texts and emails between these journalistic imposters may change how Fox continues to influence it’s base. Fox owner Rupert Murdoch called Guiliani’s fraud claims “crazy stuff” and expressed concerned about the great financial and reputational damage that was being done to his brand because of these lies and conspiracy theories being reported on his programs .

Except for the Republican base of voters, everyone knows Tucker Carlson is a liar. The only problem he had with Guiliani and Powell’s election-denying statements as they were negatively affecting the network’s ratings. When Fox began to lose viewers to their competitor Newsmax after they declared Joe Biden the winner in Arizona, an angry Carlson said. “Do the executives understand how much credibility and trust we’ve lost with our audience? I’ve never seen a reaction like this to any media company. Kills me to watch it.” His reaction to Fox reporting the facts made it clear that factual news reporting is not a career goal of Tucker Carlson.

The conspiracy machine at Fox is its big money-maker. Promoting any false narrative that its base beliefs are how Fox builds its content. However, the election denial narrative challenged the company’s mission because it was even evident to Fox there was no evidence to support the report that Trump won the election. After an interview that Fox anchor Maria Bartiromo conducted with wacky former Trump attorney Sidney Powell, Fox ratings plummeted. Hannity, Carlson, and Ingram freaked out because they understood even the base was rejecting the far-out assertions Powell was making about the Dominion voting machines. Carlson called for a Fox fact-checker Jacqui Heinrich to be fired when her findings showed, “There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.” In a panic, Carlson texted Hannity and Ingram, “Please get her fired; seriously… What the fuck? I’m shocked. It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It’s measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke.” Carlson, Hannity, and Ingram were pleading with Fox executives to stop reporting the factual results of Biden’s win and to pivot to the voter fraud narrative.

Tucker’s loyalty to Fox, it’s ratings and financial worth is even more important than any loyalty to Trump. Carlson has called Trump a “demonic force” who was good at “destroying things”. He’s the undisputed world champion of that. He could easily destroy us if we play it wrong.”

Hannity is comfortable in his role as a Trump surrogate and spreader of conspiracy theories. However, the recent release of email and text exchanges between him, Tucker and Laura Ingram reveal a man who knows the truth but is willing to lie if the truth threatens his earnings. In a text from Nov. 2021, Referring to the disastrous interview of Sidney Powell by Maria Bartiromo, Hpannity texted Carlson and Ingram, “In one week and one debate they destroyed a brand that took 25 years to build and the damage is incalculable.” Serious $$ with serious distribution could be a real problem. Imho they need to address, but wtf do I know.”
Laura Ingram knew the assertions against Dominion voting machines by Sidney Powell were false. She announced on Fox that Biden appeared to have won the election, however she promoted the popularity of the ” big lie” with Fox viewers “through innuendo, reckless spin, or outright misinformation.”( Daily Beast, Feb.7, 2021). By referring to Trump as a ” king maker” Ingram incited the Fox audience to continue to believe the conspiracy theorists that Ingram continued to quote on her program.

The Dominion court filing has exposed Fox News as a propaganda machine and hopefully will reduce the success of the network at advancing dangerous, dishonest politicians into power.
