Letting these disturbing facts about Trump stay hidden bought him time to further poison the Republican party and promote the spread of the anti- democracy “big lie.” The corruption and disinformation of MAGA has become normalized because men like Esper didn’t expose the American president was a dangerous threat to national security.
John Bolton served as a political appointee in both the Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush Administrations. His accounting of serving in the Trump Administration for 17 months as a national security advisor reveals his opinion of Trump as an incompetent. Trump tried to legally stopped the release of every book about his conduct as president. The books by former members of his administration have all revealed similar concerning information about his incompetence. Career government officials with expertise in areas related to the Constitution, foreign policy, national security, the economy, climate change, social justice and the military reported Trump had limited or no knowledge in many of these areas. Especially concerning was his lack of understanding of how a democratic government functions. These tell-all books, written by hard-core Republican super-conservatives add to a growing narrative that Trump is an unqualified autocrat gunning to take down democracy. The silence about Trump’s conduct by these former Trump allies was unpatriotic and gave Trump more time to embed his extremist MAGA ideology into the minds of a base that he has called ” dumb”. However late in coming, these revelations about Trump are disturbing and they must be used by democrats in their messaging as the mid-terms approach.

His loyalists are being infantilized and humiliated in their admiration of America’s national embarrassment.

THE ONLY SKILL HE BROUGHT TO OFFICE WAS HIS ABILITY TO PRODUCE FALSE MESSAGES THAT CAPTURE VOTES. HE USES THE TERM ” RINO” TO LABEL ANYONE WHO DOESN’T BLINDLY SUPPORT ANYTHING HE SAYS, WANTS, OR DOES. REPUBLICANS WHO HAVE REJECTED TRUMP ARE PATRIOTS WITH PROVEN RECORDS OF STAUNCH CONSERVATISM. TRUMP’S A FAKE. IN THE PAST HE HAS BEEN PRO CHOICE, PRO- CLINTON, VOTED DEMOCRAT, AND SECULAR NOT RELIGIOUS.
