Then-President Ronald Reagan signs an extension of the 1965 Voting Rights Act in Washington, saying “the right to vote is the crown jewel of American liberties.”
While Senator Mitch McConnell plans his next self-serving abuse of the filibuster, faux Democrats Manchin and Sinema are destroying President Biden’s plan to defend the GOP’s assault on democracy. By refusing a temporary change of the filibuster rules, they are supporting the sweeping Republican plot to suppress the vote and steal elections that they lose. You don’t have to be an attorney or constitutional scholar to understand this corrupt effort means our democracy would no longer exist. The Jan. 6th Committee is tracking down the gaslighters and conspiracy theorists by getting phone records, emails and other hard evidence that will get to the truth.
The grifters and liars are:
Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, Melania Trump, Ivanks Trump, Kimberly Guillfoyle, Rudy Giuliani, Lara Trump, Jared Kushner and more…
The co-conspirators are:
Senators Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Governor Gregg Abbott, Supreme Court Judges Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney- Barrett, Reps Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, Majorie Taylor- Greene, Mo Brooks, the 50 silent Republican Senators and hundreds more…
President Biden is resolute in his message about the need for the voting rights bills to pass. He knows the Republican party knows that they can no longer win elections without voter suppression efforts and corrupt election stealing in the states. The demographics of the current Republican party do not reflect the diversity of the American population. The GOP has become the party of white identity fear, Christian extremism, and voter suppression ( racism). President Biden is old enough to recall the early days of the civil rights movement, and from a young age, he was on the right side on the issue of equal rights for every American. When the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Peoples Act failed to pass, MSNBC and CNN better spread the truthful narrative about Joe Biden. When you have an opposing party whose ideology is obstructionism and 2 Senators showing lukewarm passion for protecting voting rights, the loss is not about a failed president; it’s about corrupted politics.

Democracy is facing a short-term crisis: democracy, fair elections, and political discourse based on facts are under attack by one party in America’s two-party system; The MAGA Republican Party. Senator Mitch McConnell is passively attempting to keep traditional conservatism alive by declaring Joe Biden and the Democrats legitimately won the presidency. Hopefully, his willingness to anger Trump by being honest about the election being fair will encourage other Republicans to do the same. Watching Trump’s rally performances where he prounounces he won the election by a landslide is pathetic, phony, manipulative, creepy, and false. Watching his surrogates trot out to the podium, on a manic emotional high, screaming “Trump won” is cringey. Watching adult professionals prostitute themselves out of fear of losing Trump’s support is a sad day for America.
President Biden is committed to explaining to the American people how Republicans’ voter suppression efforts are a danger to the survival of our democracy. Cheating and enacting laws discriminating against specific population groups is the antithesis of American values. In many cases, it is illegal. If President Biden cannot get any Republicans to back his policies on voter protection rights or secure the support of Democrats Manchin or Sinema, he will turn to the American people to fight to protect equal access to vote for all Americans. The corrupt intent of these voter suppression laws is not as intelligent as the arrogant MAGA Republicans think they are. There is an abundance of Republican rural working-class whites, elderly, disabled, and low-income Republican Americans whose access to voting will be increasingly more difficult or impossible as a result of GOP policies. The possibility for Democrats to keep control of Congress is being helped by their conservative client’s blind hunger for power.
