Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has been pursuing greater oversight into the conduct of Supreme Court Justices, who arrogantly act as if they are above the law. Trump-stacked the Court with religious extremist, alt- right judges who accept every case where they can restrict the individual rights of Americans whose beliefs do not align with their worldview or politics.
YESTERDAY, DURING ORAL ARGUMENTS ON THE BOGUS TRUMP TOTAL IMMUNITY CASE, JUSTICES ALITO, THOMAS, GORSUCH, AND KAVANAUGH CLEARLY SIGNALED THEY ARE IN NO HURRY TO RULE ON THE CASE AND THEY ARE NOT SEEING THE JAN. 6TH CHARGES AGAINST TRUMP AS AN ALARMING VIOLATION OF OUR CONSTITUTION. HOW CAN A DEMOCRACY SURVIVE WITH SUPREME COURT JUSTICES WHO EJUDICATE BASED ON THEIR POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS BELIEFS? ADDITIONALLY, THEY ACCEPT BRIBES FROM BILLIONNAIRES AND FEEL ENTITLED TO SECRECY ABOUT IT.
In the opinion of many noted constitutional scholars, Trump’s claim of total immunity is an obvious delay tactic with no basis in the law. However, this right-wing Supreme Court has validated Trump’s abuse of the court system ( a lifetime pattern of his) by accepting the case and debating it WHILE ignoring the central implication: A PRESIDENT MIGHT HAVE THE RIGHT TO KILL AN OPPONENT AND NOT BE PROSECUTED. HOW CAN A DEMOCRACY ACCEPT THIS ROGUE BEHAVIOR OF ITS HIGHEST COURT?
JUSTICES THOMAS ALITO AND CLARENCE THOMAS ARE UNFIT TO SERVE ON THE SUPREME COURT. THEY ARE ONLY CAPABLE OF INTERPRETTING THE LAW THROUGH THE LENS OF WHITE CHRISTIAN IDEOLOGY. IRONICALLY, AS PEOPLE THEY REPRESENT THE ANTITHESIS OF BIBLE BASED CHRISTIAN VALUES.

- Thomas accepted free airplane trips to an expensive resort from the billionnaire, right-wing Koch brothers. He didn’t disclose the trips, the gifted airplane tickets in his financial disclosures to the Senate. The Koch Brothers had cases being heard by the Supreme Court.
- Justice Alito failed to disclose a gifted fishing trip he took with billionnaire right-wing donors Leonard Leo and Paul Singer.
- Justice Alito vehemently opposes Congress establishing ethical guidelines for the Justices. He opposes the enforcement or punishment of any unethical behaviors the Justices commit. He advocates for the Justices to have the right police themselves if and when they choose to do so.
A politically imbalanced Supreme Court diminishes the chances for the rule of law to prevail over extreme political ideology. President Biden and Congress must fight to stop the current Supreme Court rulings that will blatantly promote right-wing Christian ideology or support the political ambitions of Donald Trump.
