As midterms approach, it is heartening and inspiring to see other countries successfully reject autocratic governments. The Hungarian people did the same earlier this year by voting Viktor Orbán out of office after years of corruption,
Even though Trump technically has 2 years left in office, many of his political acolytes are up for re- election in the midterms. If the polls are right and democrats turn out in big numbers, the American electorate will purge many right- wing Trump loyalists who do not respect the Constitution and do not represent America’s values.
Watching Trump on the campaign trail is brutal for many reasons: he is a fatigued, confused, disinhibited, inappropriate, without-substance wreck of an older man. He keeps avoiding what Republican candidates will do if they win. He avoids addressing his voters’ concerns, like the Iran War, the affordability issue, the Epstein file obstruction, and accusations of corruption. His recent awkward riffs about men’s asses, his bragging about his personal wealth, and his lies about how great the economy is have created speculation about his advancing mental decline. It seems people like Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Russell Vought, the billionaire tech CEOs, and Vladimir Putin are taking advantage of an aging Trump and his diminishing capacity. However, what is still alive and thriving in Trump’s speeches is his racism, cruelty, violent nature, and malignant narcissism.
The movement against him is growing. It is dwarfing the MAGA movement. Hecklers are becoming more vocal. At a recent rally, someone yelled out, “Shove that ballroom up your fat ass.” At another gathering, someone yelled out, ” The president is a pedophile,” and “Where are the Epstein files?”? Thankfully, the public is awakened to the reality that Trump is corrupt. That he is ruling in defiance of the Constitution and defying court orders by judges. That he lies and nothing he says can be trusted. That all indications point to him being guilty of abuse of women or girls in the Epstein files. He is acting desperate to keep his power and as a result is becoming more erratic and strange.
The baseless prosecutions of his opponents from both parties have increased. His cruel abuse towards those who dissent mimics the cruel fascist dictators from history. The courts and Grand Juries are on to his abuse of power and are ruling against his lawsuits.
Maybe the most dangerous, corrupt move of all during the midterm campaigns has been Elon Musk’s $500 million donations to MAGA Trump Republicans. The majority of Americans oppose the buying of elections by partisan billionaires who stand to profit financially from the elected officials that they bought. Musk is an elitist autocrat with a cruel, unempathic personality similar to Trump’s.
MAYBE THE NEXT SEGMENT OF THE POPULATION THAT THE PEOPLE WILL DIS-EMPOWER IS THE CORRUPT, GREEDY, CORPORATE/ TECH BILLIONAIRES.
