THE DEFINITION OF ADDICTION:

An uncontrollable urge and the inability to stop engaging in behaviors and ways of thinking despite persistent, factually harmful outcomes.

**The Jan. 6th insurrection was a violent attack on the Capitol staged by Trump and carried out by his supporters to block the peaceful transfer of power** **from the current president and certified loser of the 2020** **election**, **Donald Trump,** **to Joe Biden, who won by millions of votes and the electoral college. Normal, mature, non- addicted people do not follow illegal dictates or believ**e fantastical claims, like the ” big lie” without proof, and act the way the Trump **insurrectionists acted on Jan. 6th, 2020.** **EVEN MORE FRIGHTENING IS** **THAT THERE ARE STILL 30% OF** **AMERICANS ( DESPITE HIS HORRIFIC, MEASURABLE ASSAULT ON THE ECONOMY, THE RULE OF LAW, AND DECENCY) WHO ARE STILL ADDICTED TO HIM.**

There are actions Trump has taken and statements he has made that are illegal, immoral, racist, dangerous, self-serving, and damaging to people and countries all over the world. That claim is visible, measurable, and supported by millions of people from all political parties, demographics, cultures, and countries. However, the right- wing cleverly labeled the sane, patriotic people of America and the world who see Trump for the maniacal, criminal autocrat that he is as Trump Derangement Syndrome ( TDS) sufferers, when it is they who are Trump Addiction Syndrome ( TAS) sufferers.

**It’s not just the Democrats who think Trump is mentally disturbed. The world also sees him as crazy and dangerous.** **This puts America’s national security at risk.**

Even when Trump supporters are confronted with possible or actual negative outcomes for themselves or their families because of their allegiance to Trump, they continue to support his illegal, un- American actions. Delusions and hyper-loyalty keep them addictively attached to him. Even these possible unpreferred results won’t deter them, which proves their addiction:

● It is probable that there is a database identifying MAGA members

● It is probable that MAGA will be registered as a domestic terrorist group by the next president.

● Laws or future executive orders are being discussed that would order Trump supporters to repay the Treasury for the illegal overreach spending Trump did during his presidency

● Banning any reference to the Bible or Jesus in public schools may occur as retribution towards Trump supporters who supported the banning of books on slavery, the Holocaust, and LGBTQ issues.

● Europe is considering not letting registered MAGA/ Trump supporters into their countries due to security concerns

● MAGA supporters may be exempt from receiving any benefits that resulted from President Joe Biden’s policies

● They will not be reimbursed by Trump ( or exempted from) cost increases to their taxes, healthcare, food, housing, or gas increases.

Despite being unable to articulate how tax cuts for the rich, or overspending on the ballroom and other cheesy, costly renovations, or filing baseless retribution lawsuits, or the Iran War, or murderous ICE raids against minority Americans and immigrants, help them personally, Trump supporters are ready to go down in flames with him.

THAT ISN’T ANYTHING TO BE PROUD OF, BUT RATHER AN EMBARRASSING, SAD LEGACY OF ADDICTION.
