At His Texas Rally Yesterday, Trump Delivered A “Pro-Insurrection”  Style-Speech. He Delivered A Speech Suggesting His Followers Stage Another Aggressive Demonstration On His Behalf. It’s About Defending Him If He Gets Indicted For His Role In The Insurrection. He Exhibited The Exact Type Of Criminal Behavior At The Texas Rally That He Is Accused Of Committing On Jan. 6th. He Announced, “If I run, and if I win, we will treat those people from Jan. 6 fairly, and if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons.”( Rolling Stone, Jan. 29). This Statement Shows He Supports The Seditionists Over The Capitol And DC Police Officers Who Defended It. Trump Lied To The Rioters When He Promised To March With Them To The Capitol In Protest.

Anyone who still defends Trump despite his disregard for the Constitution, his violent anti-democracy rhetoric, and “big lie” conspiracy theory are not a patriot. They think they are loyal Americans because they support this faux- masculine loud, large autocrat. The whining and lying about losing the election and the name-calling threats towards people who trigger his transparent inadequacies make him appear to the world to be the most pathologically weak man ever to be a U.S. president. The rally in Texas yesterday could have been titled, “I Lost, I’m Humiliated. Please Fight To Save My Ego and My Freedom “

Is This How A Confident, Competent President Talks? Mental health professionals call this type of quote a “projection”. A projection is ” the mental process by which people attribute to others what is in their own minds ( Brittanica). He clearly isn’t intellectually bright like former presidents have been. He doesn’t demonstrate knowledge of the Constitution, has poor skills in grammar, and cannot hold factual, comprehensive, lengthy negotiations on policy. Some may think this ” bull in a china shop” approach is funny, but it isn’t. Rather, it is dangerous and costly.

Gaslighting is a common strategy in the formation of a cult. The leader discourages free- thinking, opposition, or belief in any information that doesn’t originate from him ( or her) and the doctrine of the cult.
  • He called on his supporters to mount large protests in Atlanta and New York if prosecutors in those cities, investigating him and his businesses, took action against him.
  • Promised to pardon the Jan. 6th participants because they are being treated unfairly
  • “Mike Pence had the power to change the outcome of the election, and he did not exercise that power.”
  • “If these radical, vicious, racist prosecutors do anything wrong or corrupt,” he said, “we are going to have in this country the biggest protests we have ever had.”
  • “The press is the enemy of the people.”
  • ” The press is the enemy of the people).

Trump relies on the strategy of gaslighting to create an image of himself as intelligent, strong, and omnipotent. However, his disturbing, incriminating and divisive speech in Texas once again exposed the depths of his narcissism and pathologically weak ego strength. Many of Trump’s male followers share his pathology which is proven by their need to carry big guns, make direct threats of physical harm to others, and dress up in military uniforms like it’s Halloween to feel powerful and worthy. MAGA supporters may have been incited by Trump’s words yesterday to commit violence once again on his behalf. The New York Times cited the following comments ( Jan. 30, 2022):

Even a one-term, ex-president who is running for office again should reveal some policy or agenda items when they address potential voters. However, for the last year, all Trump has talked about is the “big lie” and threatened to professionally damage and Republicans. Prolaiming he won the election is a tired, laughable narrative. His claim that the MAGA movement is about, ” “saving our democracy” is an example of gaslighting in it’s most dangerous form. Many Trump supporters exhibit traits that mental health professionals indicate is a symptom of “adult child” functioning. The term “adult child” characterizes a fully grown adult who exhibits behaviors more appropriate for earlier stages of development such as; being gullible, having unstable emotions, exhibiting passive compliance over assertiveness, impulsivity, selfishness, and lack of connection to their authentic feelings. Trump rallies are not about presenting policies or informing the public about what the president is doing with his work day. All one takes from a Trump rally is anger, hatred, fear, lies and merchandise that appeals to the “adult/child” who likes to dress up for pep rallies.

Attorney General Merrick Garland should be alarmed by Trump’s words from the rally. He should prepare a strategy of action that will remove the possibility of Trump ever being in power again.
