UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST:
SENATOR JOE MANCHIN DUPED THE PROGRESSIVES INTO VOTING FOR THE PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE BILL BY FALSELY PROMISING TO NEGOTIATE TO A “YES” VOTE ON THE BUILD BACK BETTER PLAN. THE PLAN WAS NEGOTIATED DOWN TO 1.75 TRILLION TO PLEASE MANCHIN AND IN BAD FAITH HE IS NOW JOINING THE REPUBLICANS TO PUT MILLIONS OF CHILDREN BACK INTO POVERTY, KEEP PRESCRIPTION DRUG PRICES HIGH, DESTROY THE ENVIRONMENT, AND DESTROY THE MIDDLE CLASS, WHY DID HE RUSH TO APPEAR ON FOX NEWS, THE DISINFORMATION MEDIA, TO ANNOUNCE HE IS TANKING THE SOCIAL SPENDING GOALS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AGENDA? LET THIS MOVE BE THE END OF HIS CAREER The RUIN OF HIS LEGACY!!!!! REMEMBER HE PULLED THE SAME PHONY MOVES WHEN HE DELAYED BRETT KAVANAUGH’S APPROVAL FOR A SEAT ON THE SUPREME COURT BY CALLING FOR A ONE WEEK DELAY SUPPOSEDLY FOR A FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO SECUAL ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS, THAN APPROVED HIM FOR THE COURT WITHOUT A FULL INVESTIGATION.
HE IS A EGOCENTRIC, POLITICAL MEDIA ATTENTION SEEKER AND KEEPS PROVING HE IS A D.C. SWAMP FRIEND OF THE RICH, NOT THE POOR OR MIDDLE CLASS.
In Sept. The Guardian reported “working-class people – even Trump voters – understand the Build Back Better plan will benefit them.” West Virginia is the second poorest state in America which makes its Senator, Joe Manchin, sound ridiculous as he touts his prowess at economic-related legislation. The Guardian article reported on a survey from the non- partisan, non-profit WorkMoney that 80% of more than 800 people surveyed in Manchin’s home state believe he should vote to pass the bill. That includes 77% of conservatives who responded to the survey. Manchin’s ego is so out of control he is ignoring the facts that the Build Back Better plan will help many poor West Virginians stay in their homes, afford better health insurance, and with it’s other benefits, will better the quality of their lives.
Manchin is a political dinosaur. In the current alt-right dominated Republican party, no interest is shown by the GOP to blend political ideologies to better the lives of Americans. Is Manchin blind, deaf, naive, or has he really snapped and believes he is the president? Is he aware that his constituents largely live in poverty and desperately need the financial relief Biden’s human infrastructure plan will deliver? Does he care? Why is he fighting to eliminate parts of the bill like paid family leave, Medicare expansion, and clean energy funding that would substantially improve the quality of lives of West Virginians? The Senator has become a distraction, bringing attention to himself by wielding control over the success or failure of the President’s agenda. He appears to be loving the power and attention he is getting while obstructing policies that 81% of Americans favor.
Manchin’s commitment to bipartisanship seems to be outweighing the importance he places on protecting voting rights and providing social programs that millions of Americans need and support. An article from October 21, by NPR reported the clear message Republicans sent to Manchin about not supporting his compromise bill on protecting voting rights. The article described the complete rejection of his bill by their refusal to take a procedural vote to move forward with the Freedom to Vote Act, the Democrats’ compromise bill led and crafted in part by Sen. Joe Manchin. The West Virginia Democrat had hoped to get enough GOP votes to overcome a filibuster, but in the end no Republicans voted to advance the legislation.” Manchin keeps wishing and hoping to engage a party that keeps clarifying they are against any legislation related to voting rights, police reform, or human infrastructure programs.
Joe Manchin’s sabotage of President Biden’s plan for America may render him voted out of the office and remembered in history as the man who handed control of Congress to a MAGA majority which will reflect the policies and mental deficits of the former president who wants America transformed into the image of any country run by an authoritarian dictator. Is Manchin delusional or just another example of toxic masculinity camouflaged as patriotism?
