The sociopathic behaviors Trump has engaged in have never been exhibited by any former U.S. president. The saying, ” he is just a different kind of politician” is false BS. He behaves abnormally and dangerously and this recent revelation about him lying about being infected with COVID and exposing Joe Biden to infection at the presidential debate is just another example of how dangerous he is to others. He then spread his disease to staff members in the Rose Garden days later and infected his wife and son. People died after his maskless rallies. Senator Herman Caine was unfortunately one of the MAGA sheep who met his demise for the high of cheering for the maniacal Trump. How many of us know ANYONE during this pandemic who, while infected with COVID-19, knowingly lied about it and exposed other people to the disease to satisfy their self-interests? Probably most of us know of NOT ONE PERSON who would do that because it’s pathologically RARE.
Part of the oath that a president takes involves a commitment to protect the health and safety of the American public. Donald Trump governed with complete disregard for human life when the lives were of people he didn’t like, agree with, respect, understand or who didn’t show complete loyalty to him. In the mental health field, this person would meet the criteria for the diagnosis of AntiSocial Personality disorder;
- Disregard for right and wrong
- Persistent lying or deceit to exploit others
- Being callous, cynical and disrespectful of others
- Using charm or wit to manipulate others for personal gain or personal pleasure
- Arrogance, a sense of superiority and being extremely opinionated
- Recurring problems with the law, including criminal behavior
- Repeatedly violating the rights of others through intimidation and dishonesty
- Impulsiveness or failure to plan ahead
- Hostility, significant irritability, agitation, aggression or violence
- Lack of empathy for others and lack of remorse about harming others
- Unnecessary risk-taking or dangerous behavior with no regard for the safety of self or others
- Poor or abusive relationships
- Failure to consider the negative consequences of behavior or learn from them
- Being consistently irresponsible and repeatedly failing to fulfill work or financial obligations
Trump has demonstrated these behaviors and attitudes both throughout his presidency and since his legitimate ousting from office after one- brutal term. Documented examples of his sociopathy include;
- Violated the Constitution’s Emoluments clause, lied under oath in a written deposition,
- Lied to the public about the dangers of COVID for political self-interests
- Verbally disparaged immigrants, people of color, women who opposed him, and political opponents
- Called veterans “losers” who ended up in cemeteries
- Delusionally proclaimed he knew more about war than the generals, knew more about science than the doctors, and called himself a genius.
- Used vengeful threats of retaliation towards congressional Republicans to control how they voted or legislated
- Constantly under criminal and civil investigation for breaking tax, financial, and other federal laws, and accusations of sexual assault by dozens of women
- Demonstrated outbursts of severe anger and incited violence on Twitter and Facebook and was banned from the platforms for life
- While hundreds and thousands of Americans died from COVID, he exhibited no empathy, offered no comfort, and continued to lie about the science and blame scientists and Democrats for the spread of infection
- Ordered the National Guard to tear-gas peaceful protesters during a Black Lives Matter demonstration
- Refused to wear a mask, irresponsibly caught COVID, encouraged supporters to resist mask-wearing, held rallies during the pandemic before vaccine development, promoted crackpot cures for COVID
- Created the “big lie” to manipulate public opinion that he was the winner, not a LOSER
- Engaged in constant conflict with family, colleagues, friends, and political opponents. Most of his relationships ended dramatically with him being the antagonist
- Exhibits no personal insight, perpetuates problematic patterns despite adverse outcomes. Impeached twice because he repeatedly ignored the rule of law inscribed in the Constitution
- Went Bankrupt multiple times, known for not paying his contractors or attorneys, underpaid his taxes, has a personal debt of over $400 million
- Incited a violent insurrection to overturn the presidential election so he could be illegally reinstated as president
