Also, he will be putting in full days in the Oval Office instead of golfing, trashing people on Twitter, flying to resorts or trying to ruin his political opponents. Trump took the honor of the presidency and converted it to a crime ring where the majority of his original cronies are either in jail, indicted and given corrupt pardons, disbarred, unemployed or disgraced.
Inflation is complicated and the solution is complicated. The Biden economy is doing well in some areas. The stock market is hitting record high numbers indicating confidence in investing is strong despite rising gas and consumer goods costs. Trump gaslighted his followers into believing the state of the stock market indicated a strong economy. Biden isn’t on TV and Twitter every day boasting about the Dow Jones and the S & P 500 because he isn’t a liar. He understands the state of the economy is also reflected in jobs, wages, the price of goods, and interest rates. Democratic constituents are not prone to being gullible and uniformed about facts and Biden shows respect to their intelligence and believe in facts by being honest, despite whatever his poll numbers might be. Polls regarding competence and character consistently put Biden far higher than Trump. Polls also indicate Trump is seen as markedly more dangerous than Biden.
The president has tried to educate Americans about the correlation between the state of the pandemic and the national and global economy. Production and consumption of goods drastically declined in 2020 as COVID-19 ravaged the country and the world and the Trump Administration dangerously failed at containing the virus spread. The faux machoism of Trump created an anti-mask, anti- prevention movement that evolved into an anti- vax campaign that has aided in the current economic problems. Biden’s mask mandates may have hurt him politically by giving MAGA Republicans like Governors Gregg Abbott And Ron DeSantis opportunity to spread the false narrative that Democrats want to limit personal freedoms
Biden didn’t run for president to bolster a weak ego, or to grift money from the treasury or his constituents. He is serving in the tradition of all public servants which is to keep America safe, strong, and prosperous. He will make judgments on policy that won’t be perfect, every president does. However, a true patriot and responsible member of Congress should want to help any president of either party succeed. That is if we are the America of a democracy of law, civility and be!ieving all people are created equal.
